Our take on the Diamond Dotz Simply Dotz Braies Lake Diamond Art Kit 28.3"x15.7"

This is a full-coverage diamond painting kit of Braies Lake in the Italian Dolomites, 28.3 by 15.7 inches on a wide landscape layout. It uses round drills, about 35,420 of them, and the design leans on the lake's mirror-like reflection for its effect. At $11.99 at Diamond Dotz as of November 8, 2026, it sits at the low end of its recent range across the three stores that list it new.

Questions and answers

Is this kit worth it at $11.99?
At $11.99 at Diamond Dotz as of November 8, 2026, it is cheap for a 28.3 x 15.7 inch full-coverage canvas. The trade-off is the drill count: about 35,420 round drills means many hours of work.
How long does a 35,420-drill kit take?
Most crafters place roughly 1,000 to 2,000 drills an hour, so expect somewhere around 20 to 35 hours. The wide layout and full coverage make it a multi-week project at a few sessions a week.
Round or square drills here?
This kit uses round drills. They are more forgiving to place and faster to work with, but leave small gaps between drills, so the finish is less tile-like than square drills.
What comes in the box?
Diamond Dotz Simply Dotz kits typically include the printed canvas, pre-sorted round drills, a stylus, wax and a tray. Check the listing for the exact contents before buying.
Is it suitable for a beginner?
It is rated intermediate, mainly because of the size and drill count. A smaller, simpler kit is a better first project; this one suits someone who has completed at least one.
When is the price lowest?
Craft kits like this usually dip during holiday and back-to-school sales. With three stores listing it new, compare all three before buying rather than assuming the first price is the best.
