Our take on the Diamondback Dos Clavos '25 Vest System Hand Dominant

The Diamondback Dos Clavos is a two-piece tool-carrying vest system for tradespeople, built around a vest frame with removable pouches and holsters. The 'Hand Dominant' version places the main pouch on the wearer's dominant side, so tools sit where the hand reaches first. It is a premium setup: the best new price is $431.25 at Diamondback Toolbelts as of November 4, 2026, and only one store lists it new, so there is no cheaper alternative to compare against.

Best forFramers and carpenters who carry a lot of tools all dayBuyers who want a vest-and-pouch system rather than a beltLeft- or right-handed users who want the load on their dominant sideCrews that already use Diamondback pouches
Pros
  • Vest spreads weight across the shoulders instead of the hips
  • Removable pouches let you swap the load for the task
  • Hand-dominant layout keeps the main pouch in easy reach
  • Diamondback's heavy-duty stitching and riveted seams hold up to jobsite wear
  • Pouches and holsters can be reused on other Diamondback rigs
Cons
  • $431.25 is a lot for a tool carrier
  • Only one store lists it new, so there is little price competition
  • Vest sizing runs XS/S here, so larger users need another size
  • Vest-plus-pouch systems are heavier and bulkier than a plain belt
  • Limited resale and aftermarket support compared with belt rigs

Questions and answers

Is the Dos Clavos vest worth $431.25?
If you carry tools all day and want the weight off your hips, the vest-and-pouch setup is a serious upgrade over a belt. At $431.25 from Diamondback Toolbelts as of November 4, 2026, it is a long-term buy rather than a budget pick.
What does 'Hand Dominant' mean?

What size is this vest?
This listing is XS/S in grey. Check Diamondback's size chart against your chest measurement before ordering, since the vest has to sit close to carry weight well.
Can I use my own Diamondback pouches with it?
Yes. The vest is designed to take Diamondback pouches and holsters, so existing bags can move onto the vest. Confirm the attachment style matches before you buy.
When is it cheapest?
Only one store lists it new, at $431.25 as of November 4, 2026, so there is no competing price to wait for. Watch for seasonal sales at Diamondback Toolbelts rather than expecting a lower price elsewhere.
Where is the Diamondback Dos Clavos '25 Vest System Hand Dominant cheapest?
