Is the DIGITNOW record player worth it?

It suits casual listeners who want a cheap all-in-one deck with speakers and Bluetooth. Buyers who care about sound quality or upgradeable parts should look at a turntable with a counterweight and a standard cartridge.

Does it need external speakers?

No. It has built-in stereo speakers, so it plays records out of the box. You can connect a stereo or amplifier through the RCA jacks for louder, better sound.

Can I connect headphones or a phone?

Yes. There is a headphone jack for private listening and a 3.5mm aux-in for a phone or other source. Bluetooth also lets you stream wirelessly to the player.

What speeds does it play?

It plays 33 and 45 RPM records, covering most LPs and singles. It does not offer 78 RPM for older shellac records.

What comes in the box?

The turntable and a removable protective dust cover are included. Check the listing for cables and whether a cartridge is pre-fitted.

Small belt-driven turntables like this one tend to drop around Black Friday and holiday sales. Watch its price history and buy when it sits near the low end of its recent range.

Our take on the DIGITNOW Bluetooth Belt-Driven Record Player

The DIGITNOW is a compact belt-driven turntable with built-in stereo speakers, Bluetooth, and a wood-and-plastic body. It plays 33 and 45 RPM records and adds RCA output, a 3.5mm aux-in, and a headphone jack, so it works alone or through a stereo. It is a decorative entry-level deck rather than a hi-fi component.
