Our take on the Do All Outdoors Air Strike Pellet Trap AS8177

The Do All Outdoors Air Strike is a steel pellet trap for indoor or backyard air rifle and air pistol practice. It catches fired pellets in a steel housing behind a replaceable face card with a bullseye, so you can shoot paper targets and reuse the trap. It is non-reactive: it does not flip or swing when hit. At $14.99 at Walmart as of November 4, 2026, it sits at the low end of its recent range, so this is a cheap way to add a safe backstop to a short-range airgun setup.

Pros
  • Low price: $14.99 at Walmart as of November 4, 2026
  • Steel housing catches pellets instead of letting them pass through
  • Replaceable face card with a bullseye keeps the trap reusable
  • Compact and light enough to move between rooms or a bench
  • Works with both air rifles and air pistols
Cons
  • Steel construction means it is heavy for its size and can ring loudly on impact
  • Pellet buildup and lead dust need periodic emptying
  • Not built for firearm calibers or high-power PCP airguns
  • Face cards wear out and must be bought again
  • Non-reactive design gives no feedback beyond the hole in the paper

Questions and answers

Is the Air Strike Pellet Trap worth $14.99?
At $14.99 at Walmart as of November 4, 2026, it is a cheap way to stop pellets safely. If you shoot an air rifle or air pistol regularly, it pays for itself against paper targets alone.
Will it stop a high-power PCP air rifle?
It is meant for standard air rifles and air pistols. High-power PCP guns and firearm calibers can punch through or damage the steel, so check your gun's energy before using it.
What is in the box?
You get the steel trap body and a face card with a bullseye. Replacement face cards are sold separately, so plan to buy spares if you shoot often.
How do I empty the pellets?
The trap collects spent pellets inside the steel housing. Open it over a container and dispose of the lead properly; do not let lead dust build up indoors.
When is it cheapest?
It is already near the bottom of its recent range at $14.99 as of November 4, 2026. Watch for Walmart rollbacks and seasonal airgun sales for small further drops.
Where is the Do All Outdoors Air Strike Pellet Trap AS8177 cheapest?
