Our take on the DOKEHOM 80L Freestanding Laundry Hamper with Handle

The DOKEHOM 80L is a freestanding, collapsible laundry hamper with a carry handle, standing 24 inches tall in a single compartment. The 80L capacity holds roughly two to three loads of laundry, and the fabric body folds flat when empty. It is a budget option for a bedroom, bathroom or dorm, and its price sits in the low end of what large collapsible hampers cost.

Questions and answers

Is the DOKEHOM 80L hamper worth it?
For a cheap, lightweight hamper that folds flat, yes. If you want a rigid bin with a lid or separate sorting sections, spend more on a framed or multi-compartment hamper.
How much laundry does 80L hold?
About two to three average loads. It suits one or two people; a family of four will likely fill it in a few days.
Does it stay upright when empty?
Yes, it is designed to stand freestanding, though the fabric can lean slightly when empty. It holds its shape better once partly filled.
Can it be folded for storage?
Yes, it collapses flat, which helps in small apartments, dorms or when moving.
Does it have a lid or sections?
No. It is a single open compartment with no lid, so contents stay visible and there is no sorting.
When is the best time to buy it?
Prices for basic fabric hampers move little, but back-to-school and dorm-season sales in late summer are when discounts are most common.
