Is the Chattie Capybara worth it?

At $23.45 at Owl & Goose Gifts as of November 5, 2026, it is a fair price for a Douglas plush of this size. Buy it if you want a soft, display-friendly capybara; skip it if you need a large cuddle toy.

How big is it really?

It measures 10 x 6 x 6 inches and weighs about 8 oz, so it is roughly the size of a small loaf of bread. It suits a shelf, desk or child's bed rather than full-body hugging.

Is it safe for a toddler?

Douglas rates it for ages 24 months and up. It has no small parts, but the plush surface should be checked for loose fur or seams before giving it to a young child.

It is surface washable only. Spot clean with a damp cloth and mild soap, then air dry; do not put it in a washing machine or dryer.

Is it the same as other Douglas capybaras?

Chattie is the loaf-pose capybara with droopy eyelids. Other Douglas capybara plush may be standing or larger, so check the dimensions and pose if you want a matching set.

About the Douglas Soft Chattie Capybara

Chattie the Capybara

Happy to serve as the base for your next tangerine tower or as a free cab service for other animals, it’s easy to see why some people describe Chattie the Soft Capybara stuffed animal as being a terminally chill individual!

Her dark eyes are detailed with droopy eyelids that further accentuate her relaxed appearance. Not much seems to phase this famous rodent from South America! Crafted in ultra fuzzy plush materials and stuffed with resilient polyester fill, she’s endearingly plump and cuddly. Her resting loaf pose begs to be picked up for a snuggle but looks equally good on display in a place where she can keep tabs on everyone.

If you’re looking to adopt a “coconut doggy,” Chattie is the perfect way to bring a low maintenance version of the popular Capy into your life!
