Is the Dreame X50 Ultra worth it?

If you have thresholds, pets or a large floor and want minimal hands-on cleaning, yes. The climbing chassis and self-washing dock are the main reasons to pay the premium over mid-range robots.

How does it compare with the X40 Ultra?

The X50 Ultra adds the VersaLift chassis for 6 cm climbing and stronger 20,000 Pa suction. The X40 Ultra is cheaper but handles fewer obstacles.

How long does the battery last?

The 6,400mAh battery typically covers a large single floor on standard suction. Heavy carpet cleaning on max power drains it faster, and the robot returns to recharge and resumes.

You get the robot, the base station, a dust bag, mop pads, side brushes and a power cord. Consumables like extra bags and pads are sold separately.

Does it work with Alexa and Google Assistant?

Yes. You can start, stop and send the robot home by voice through Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant, and set routines in the Dreame app.

Flagship robot vacuums usually drop during major sales events and holiday periods. Watch the price history and buy when it sits near the low end of its recent range.

Our take on the Dreame X50 Ultra

The Dreame X50 Ultra is a flagship robot vacuum and mop with a self-emptying, self-washing base station. It stands out with 20,000 Pa Vormax suction, a lifting chassis that climbs obstacles up to 6 cm, and 80°C hot-water mop washing. The base station is large and heavy, so plan floor space for it. Its latest best price sits near the low end of its recent range, making it a reasonable time to buy.
