Our take on the Dreo Countertop Reverse Osmosis Water Filtration System

The Dreo Countertop Reverse Osmosis Water Filtration System is a 7-stage RO purifier that sits on the counter rather than under the sink. Questions and answers

Is this a countertop or under-sink system?
It is a countertop unit. It sits on the counter and needs no plumbing connection, despite some listings labeling it under-sink.
How often do the filters need changing?
Dreo specifies filter life in the manual, typically several months per stage depending on water use. Budget for replacement filters as an ongoing cost.
Is $169.99 a good price?
It is the best new price found as of November 6, 2026, at the low end of its recent range. Waiting is unlikely to save much unless a holiday sale appears.
Does it remove fluoride and lead?
An RO membrane removes most dissolved contaminants, including lead and fluoride, along with minerals. Check Dreo's spec sheet for certified removal rates.
How much water does the tank hold?
The tank is small, sized for a few glasses at a time. Expect to refill it more often than a plumbed under-sink system.
What comes in the box?
The unit ships with its filter stages installed and a power adapter. No plumbing parts are included because none are needed.
