Questions and answers

Is this enclosure worth it?

It is a reasonable pick if you want a pre-loaded dual 8-inch box and already own an amp. At $316.54 at Beach Audio as of November 4, 2026, it costs more than building a basic box yourself, but you skip the fabrication work.

What amplifier do I need for it?

The dual 4+4 ohm coils wire to a 1-ohm or 4-ohm load, so match your amp to one of those. Plan for at least 300W RMS, and more if you want to use the 1200W peak rating.

How does it compare to a single 12-inch sub?

Two 8-inch subs in a sealed box give tighter, punchier bass and a smaller footprint. A single 12-inch in a ported box usually plays deeper and louder for the same power.

What's in the box?

The loaded enclosure with both subwoofers installed. You supply the amplifier, wiring and mounting hardware.

When is it cheapest?

Only one store lists it new, so there is little price competition. Watch for holiday sales at Beach Audio rather than expecting frequent discounts.
