Our take on the Dynaudio Emit M30 Floorstanding Speaker

The Dynaudio Emit M30 is a two-way floorstanding speaker from Dynaudio's entry-level Emit line, built around a 28mm soft-dome tweeter and a pair of 17cm magnesium silicate polymer woofers. It is a passive speaker, so it needs an amplifier; the listed Bluetooth, HDMI, XLR and RCA connections are not part of the speaker itself. Its rated power handling is 200 W. The best new price is $899.99 at Safe and Sound as of November 4, 2026, and only one store lists it new, so there is little price competition to compare against.

Pros
  • Full-range floorstander with real low-end for its size
  • Neutral, detailed Dynaudio soft-dome tweeter
  • 200 W power handling suits a range of amplifiers
  • Slim cabinet in white satin fits modern rooms
  • No stands needed, unlike bookshelf rivals
Cons
  • Passive design: needs an amp, despite the listed wireless and HDMI specs
  • Two-way layout can strain at very high volumes
  • Bass can overwhelm small, untreated rooms
  • Only one new-price listing, so little discounting
  • Floorstanders take more space than bookshelf speakers

Questions and answers

Is the Emit M30 worth it at $899.99?
At $899.99 at Safe and Sound as of November 4, 2026, it is a fair price for a Dynaudio floorstander. With only one new listing, expect little movement, so waiting for a discount is unlikely to help much.
Do I need an amplifier?
Yes. The Emit M30 is a passive speaker and needs a stereo amplifier or receiver. The Bluetooth, HDMI, XLR and RCA entries in its specs do not describe the speaker's own inputs.
How does it compare with the Emit M20 bookshelf?
The M30 adds a second woofer and a floorstanding cabinet, giving deeper bass and higher output. The M20 costs less and suits smaller rooms but needs stands.
What amplifier power does it need?
It is rated to handle up to 200 W. A clean 50 to 150 W per channel amplifier is a sensible match for most rooms.
What comes in the box?
A pair of speakers, grilles and floor spikes or feet. Speaker cable and amplifier are not included.
When is it cheapest?
There is no clear sale pattern with a single new listing. The current $899.99 at Safe and Sound as of November 4, 2026 is the only new price to compare.
Where is the Dynaudio Emit M30 Floorstanding Speaker cheapest?
At Safe and Sound, for $899.99, as of our latest check.
What do buyers say about the Dynaudio Emit M30 Floorstanding Speaker?
Rated 4.6 out of 5 from 7 ratings.
