Is the Dyson Supersonic HD11 worth it?

If you dry your hair most days and fight frizz, the speed and heat control justify the spend for many owners. At $275 at eBay as of November 5, 2026, it costs far less than Dyson's typical list price, which makes it easier to justify.

How is the HD11 different from earlier Supersonic models?

The HD11 is the current Supersonic generation and adds the Flyaway attachment to the five-tool set. Core performance, the digital motor and intelligent heat control carry over from earlier Supersonics.

Can I use it when traveling abroad?

No. This is a 127 V model and is not dual voltage, so it will not work safely on 220-240 V outlets without a step-down converter. It is best treated as a home dryer.

You get the dryer and five attachments, including the Flyaway attachment, along with the standard smoothing nozzle and styling concentrator. A diffuser is part of the attachment set for curly hair.

When is the Supersonic cheapest?

Dyson discounts the Supersonic around major sales events and when a new generation launches. The $275 eBay price as of November 5, 2026 is already below typical retail, so compare it against other stores before waiting for a deeper cut.

Our take on the Dyson Supersonic HD11

The Supersonic HD11 is Dyson's flagship hair dryer, built around a small digital motor in the handle and intelligent heat control that checks temperature many times a second to avoid extreme heat damage. It ships with five magnetic styling attachments, including the Flyaway attachment for smoothing, and has four heat settings plus a cool shot. At $275 at eBay as of November 5, 2026, it sits well below Dyson's usual list price for this model, so it is a strong price if the seller is reputable.
