Questions and answers

Is the 4K version worth upgrading to?
If you own only a DVD, yes: you get a 4K transfer and a DTS:X lossless mix. Blu-ray owners get a smaller jump, mostly in audio and the anniversary feature.
What is on the second disc?
The set is a two-disc edition and includes a Steven Spielberg and E.T. feature. The 13-minute runtime listed refers to that feature, not the film.
Is it suitable for young children?
It is rated PG and listed for all ages. Some scenes with E.T. looking ill can upset very young kids.
Does it include other languages?
Listings show English audio and subtitles only, with no other languages noted.
When is it cheapest?
At $13.99 at Walmart as of November 5, 2026, it is near the bottom of its recent range, so waiting is unlikely to save much.
Where is the E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial (4K UHD, 40th Anniversary Edition) cheapest?
At Walmart, for $13.99, 41% under what the other stores charge, as of our latest check.
What do buyers say about the E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial (4K UHD, 40th Anniversary Edition)?
