Is the Nothing Ear (3a) worth it?

At $59 at Nothing as of November 3, yes for shoppers who want ANC and long battery on a budget. Rivals at this price often skip noise cancellation or Bluetooth 6.0.

How long does the battery last with ANC on?

About 6 hours per charge and up to 25 hours total with the case. With ANC off, that rises to 10 hours per charge and 42 hours total.

Can I store music on the 32MB of built-in storage?

No. 32MB holds only a few minutes of audio, so treat it as firmware space, not offline music storage. You still need a paired phone.

It is IP54 rated, which means dust protection and resistance to splashes and light rain. Do not swim or shower with it.

Does it work with iPhone?

Yes, it pairs over standard Bluetooth, but iPhone users lose some Android-only features in the Nothing X app. Core audio and ANC work on both.

When is the Ear (3a) cheapest?

It is already near the low end of its recent range at $59 at Nothing as of November 3. Deeper discounts are most likely around Black Friday and back-to-school sales.

Our take on the Ear (3a)

The Nothing Ear (3a) are budget wireless earbuds with 12mm dynamic drivers, up to 45dB active noise cancellation and Bluetooth 6.0. They run up to 10 hours per charge (6 with ANC) and up to 42 hours with the case (25 with ANC), and carry IP54 water resistance. The 32MB of built-in storage is unusual at this price, though it is too small for offline music. At $59 at Nothing as of November 3, they sit at the low end of their recent range, making them one of the cheaper ANC earbuds from a major brand.
