Our take on the Ebern Designs 8 Drawer Double Dresser with Power Outlet and LED Lighting

The Ebern Designs 8 Drawer Double Dresser is a 55-inch-wide black bedroom storage piece with eight drawers, a built-in power outlet and LED lighting. The outlet and lights make it more useful than a plain dresser for charging phones and lamps without extra cords. It is a budget-tier Wayfair house brand, so expect engineered wood and a straightforward assembly job rather than heirloom furniture. Pros
  • Eight drawers give generous storage for two people
  • Built-in power outlet removes the need for a wall strip near the bed
  • LED lighting is handy for a nightstand or display top
  • 55-inch width fits most standard bedroom walls
  • Black finish suits many decor styles
Cons
  • Engineered wood construction is not built to last decades
  • Assembly is time-consuming and needs two people
  • Drawer glides are basic, not soft-close
  • Power outlet placement depends on where your wall socket is
  • Heavy once assembled, so moving it later is awkward

Questions and answers

Is this dresser worth it?
If you need eight drawers and a charging outlet at a low price, it is a reasonable buy. If you want solid wood or soft-close drawers, spend more elsewhere.
How does it compare with a plain 8-drawer dresser?
The outlet and LED lighting are the main extras. A plain dresser of the same size usually costs less but leaves you running extension cords.
Does it have a battery or need wiring?
The LED lighting and outlet run on household power through a cord, not a battery. Plan for a nearby wall socket.
How big is it?
It is 55 inches wide, a double dresser size. Measure your wall and doorways before ordering.
What is in the box?
The dresser ships flat with panels, hardware and instructions. Tools and assembly are on you.
When is it cheapest?
Wayfair house brands like Ebern Designs discount often around major sales events. Compare the live price across stores before buying.
