Do I need a box spring with this frame?

No. The frame ships with slats, so a mattress can sit directly on it. A box spring would only add height.

Will it work with a memory foam mattress?

Usually yes, but foam mattresses need closely spaced, solid slats to avoid sagging. Check the slat spacing before buying, since it is not listed here.

What is included in the box?

The frame and slats are included. The mattress is not, and this is sold as a frame only.

Is a queen mattress the right size for it?

Yes. This configuration is queen size, so pair it with a standard queen mattress, 60 by 80 inches.

When is the best time to buy it?

Wood bed frames tend to drop during holiday sales and end-of-season furniture events. Track the price history and buy when it falls below the recent range.

Our take on the Ebern Designs Ardin Solid Wood Bed Frame

The Ebern Designs Ardin is a solid wood bed frame in queen size, sold as a frame only with a slatted base included. The slats mean you can set a mattress directly on the frame without adding a box spring. It is a plain, low-frills platform-style frame rather than an upholstered or storage bed. No current price was available for this listing, so compare it against other solid wood queen frames before buying.
