Our take on the Ecoxgear SoundExtreme Battery Powered Soundbar

The Ecoxgear SoundExtreme is a battery-powered outdoor soundbar built for side-by-sides, boats and tailgates. It is IP67-rated dustproof and waterproof, runs Bluetooth 5.0, and drives eight drivers with 50 watts RMS (500 watts peak). EcoCast links up to 100 units for one big sound field. At $477.91 at eBay as of November 5, 2026, it sits at the top of its recent range, so it is not a bargain day.

Questions and answers

Is the SoundExtreme really waterproof?
Yes. Ecoxgear rates it dirt proof, dustproof and 100% waterproof, so it can handle rain, spray and washdowns. It is built for outdoor mounting, not for being submerged for long periods.
How loud is it?
It is rated 50 watts RMS with a 500-watt peak figure. That is enough for a campsite or dock, but at highway speed in an open UTV you may want to link a second unit with EcoCast.
How many speakers can I link?
EcoCast connects up to 100 SoundExtreme soundbars together. That lets you build a large sound field across several vehicles or a party area.
Does it work with Siri or Google?
It lists Siri and OK Google assistant support, but there is no Wi-Fi. Voice control runs through your paired phone, not the speaker itself.
What is in the box?
Expect the soundbar, a mounting bracket and hardware, and a charging cable. Check the listing for exact included accessories before you buy.
When is it cheapest?
Outdoor audio tends to drop around Black Friday and before boating season. At $477.91 at eBay as of November 5, 2026, it is near the top of its range, so waiting for a sale makes sense.
