Our take on the Effy Collection Diamond Ring in 14k Gold Plating

This is an Effy Collection ring in 14k gold plating set with diamonds, sold as a single new piece. The best new price is $329.70 at Macy's as of November 7, 2026, and only one store lists it new, so there is no competing price to compare against. Gold plating over a base metal keeps the cost far below solid 14k gold, but the plating is the part that wears first.

Pros
  • Real diamonds set in a finished 14k gold-plated design
  • Noticeably cheaper than a comparable solid 14k gold ring
  • Effy is an established fine-jewelry brand sold at major department stores
  • Single-store listing means one clear price to check against
Cons
  • Gold plating wears and can dull with daily wear, unlike solid gold
  • Only one store lists it new, so there is no price competition
  • Diamond count, total carat weight and ring size are not stated in the listing
  • Plated jewelry usually cannot be resized or repaired the way solid gold can

Questions and answers

Is $329.70 a good price for this ring?
It is the only new price listed, $329.70 at Macy's as of November 7, 2026, so there is no second store to compare it with. Judge it against what solid 14k gold rings with similar diamonds cost, which is usually several times more.
Will the 14k gold plating wear off?
Plating sits on the surface, so it thins with friction, hand washing and perfume over months to years. Take it off for dishes, lotion and swimming to make it last longer.
What are the diamond specs?
The listing does not state diamond count, total carat weight or clarity. Ask the store for those figures before buying if carat weight matters to you.
Can this ring be resized?
Plated rings are generally not resized, because sizing cuts through the plating and exposes the base metal. Buy the correct size up front.
What comes in the box?
Expect the ring and Effy packaging from Macy's. Confirm with the store whether a diamond certificate or appraisal card is included.
Where is the Effy Collection Diamond Ring in 14k Gold Plating cheapest?
At Macy's, for $329.70, 75% off, as of our latest check.
