Our take on the Egohome Queen Size 14 inch Hybrid Mattress in a Box

The Egohome 14-inch hybrid queen pairs pocketed springs with layered foam and a quilted stretch-knit cover, sold compressed in a box. It is a thick, budget-priced mattress with reinforced edge support and CertiPUR-US foam. At $226.84 at eBay as of November 8, 2026, it sits at the low end of what a 14-inch hybrid queen usually costs.

Pros
  • Pocketed springs cut motion transfer between sleepers
  • 14-inch profile gives a plusher, taller feel
  • Reinforced edges add usable sleeping surface
  • CertiPUR-US foam and OEKO-TEX textiles
  • Breathable quilted top and airflow foam aim at heat buildup
  • Low price for a hybrid queen
Cons
  • Sold in a box, so it needs time to fully expand
  • Hybrid spring cores can soften faster than all-foam at this price
  • Edge support is reinforced but not as firm as a coil-on-coil premium build
  • Firmness is fixed; no choice of feel
  • Heavy and awkward to move once expanded

Questions and answers

Is $226.84 a good price for this mattress?
It is a low price for a 14-inch hybrid queen; most hybrid queens sell for more. Three stores list it new, so compare them before buying.
How firm is the Egohome 14-inch hybrid?
It is a medium-firm hybrid: foam layers cushion while pocketed springs support. Firmness is fixed, so try it if you prefer a softer bed.
Does it need time to expand after unboxing?
Yes. Like most bed-in-a-box mattresses, it needs hours to a day to reach full 14-inch thickness.

What is included in the box?
The compressed, rolled queen mattress. A frame or foundation is sold separately and is needed for support.
Does the foam have certifications?
Yes. The foam is CertiPUR-US certified and the textiles are OEKO-TEX certified.
