Is the UBR62 a true 3-way speaker?

Yes. Each cabinet has a concentric midrange/tweeter driver plus a separate 6.5-inch aluminum woofer, with dedicated crossover sections for each.

Do I need a subwoofer with these?

For music, most owners find the bass sufficient. For home theater or very large rooms, a subwoofer still adds depth below 40 Hz.

What amplifier power do they need?

Plan on a solid 50 to 100 watts per channel or more. They are not the easiest load, so a weak receiver will hold them back.

Can they be used as surround speakers?

Yes. They work as front or surround channels in a home theater, though their size makes wall mounting impractical.

A pair of speakers. Speaker stands and cables are sold separately.

When is the price lowest?

The best new price was $1,198.99 at eBay as of November 6, 2026. Watch for holiday and open-box sales, which tend to undercut list price.
