Our take on the Electro-Voice EVOLVE 30M Portable Column System

The Electro-Voice Evolve 30M is a portable column PA with a 10-inch subwoofer, a 6-driver column array and a built-in 8-channel digital mixer. It puts out 1000 W peak and up to 123 dB SPL with 120° horizontal coverage, so one unit covers a small room or patio. Bluetooth streaming, QuickSmart DSP and onboard reverb, chorus and delay mean you can run a gig without a separate mixer. The best new price is $1,094 at Sweetwater as of November 3, 2026, with 5 stores listing it new.

Questions and answers

Is the Evolve 30M loud enough for a wedding or small club?
Yes for rooms up to a few hundred people. It reaches 123 dB SPL and 120° coverage, which handles wedding receptions and small clubs. For larger crowds, add a second unit or a bigger sub.
How does it compare with the Evolve 50M?
The 50M has a larger 12-inch sub and more output, so it suits bigger rooms and louder bands. The 30M is lighter and cheaper, and enough for solo acts, duos and small venues.
Do I need a separate mixer?
No. The built-in 8-channel digital mixer has 4 XLR/TRS combo inputs, effects and Bluetooth, so most small acts plug straight in. A separate mixer only helps if you need more inputs or hands-on faders.
Can I stream music over Bluetooth?
Yes. It supports high-resolution, low-latency Bluetooth streaming, which works for backing tracks and break music. Wired inputs are still better for critical live sources.
What comes in the box?
You get the subwoofer, the column array, the pole, a power cable and a carry bag for the column. Check the listing for the bag, since bundles vary by store.
When is it cheapest?
The best new price is $1,094 at Sweetwater as of November 3, 2026. Column PAs tend to dip during holiday sales and when a new model is announced, so watch for those windows.
Where is the Electro-Voice EVOLVE 30M Portable Column System cheapest?
At Sweetwater, for $1,094.00, 22% under what the other stores charge, as of our latest check.
What do buyers say about the Electro-Voice EVOLVE 30M Portable Column System?
