Does it work with Apple HomeKit?

Yes. Emporia lists Apple HomeKit and Siri support alongside Alexa and Google Assistant.

Can it handle a space heater?

A 1500W heater is within the 1800W rating, but the 15A peak is specified for up to one hour a day, so continuous high draw is outside the rating.

No hub is required. It connects directly over 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi with an internet connection.

Can I see how much power a device uses over time?

Yes. The plug reports consumption to the Emporia app, which keeps usage history for the connected device.

Is $11.99 a good price?

It is the best new price among the two stores listing it as of November 7, 2026, and is low for a plug with energy monitoring.

Does it block the other outlet?

At 1.5 inches wide it can cover the neighboring socket on a duplex receptacle, so plan for that on crowded strips.
