Our take on the Empress 2-Ply Kitchen Paper Towel Rolls, Pack of 12

Empress 2-Ply Kitchen Paper Towel Rolls are white, embossed towels made from 100 percent recycled fiber, sold in a pack of 12 rolls with 80 sheets each. Sheets measure 8" x 11" and are perforated for tearing, with the brand claiming excellent wet strength. The listing's spec fields are inconsistent on roll count (12 in the name, 30 in the specs), so confirm the pack size before ordering. No current price was provided, so its standing against recent pricing cannot be stated.

Questions and answers

Is this a 12-roll or 30-roll pack?
The product name says pack of 12, but the spec fields list 30 rolls and a packaging count of 30. Check the pack count on the listing before you buy, since the price per roll depends on it.
Are these towels really 2-ply?
Yes, the listed ply count is 2-ply, which generally holds up better on spills than 1-ply. The brand also claims excellent wet strength.
Are they flushable or compostable?
They are listed as biodegradable, but that does not mean flushable. Keep them out of toilets and follow local composting rules.
What size are the sheets?
Each sheet is 8" x 11" and perforated, so you can tear off a half or full sheet. That is a standard kitchen roll size.
How many sheets come in a roll?
80 sheets per roll. With 12 rolls that is 960 sheets; with 30 rolls it would be 2,400.
When is the best time to buy?
Paper goods usually drop during back-to-school and holiday promotions and in multi-pack sales. Compare the per-roll price against other recycled 2-ply brands before stocking up.
