Our take on the Energizer ECA007 15W USB-C Magnetic Wireless Car Charger

The Energizer ECA007 is a magnetic car mount that snaps a MagSafe-compatible iPhone onto a vent or dash mount and charges it wirelessly at up to 15W. It is a budget option in a category where Apple's own MagSafe charger and mounts from Belkin and ESR cost several times more. At $12.99 at Best Buy as of November 6, 2026, it sits at the low end of its price history, so this is close to the cheapest it has been.

Best foriPhone 12 and newer owners who want a cheap magnetic car mountDrivers who want charging and mounting in one pieceBuyers who don't want to pay MagSafe-brand pricesSecond-car or rental-car setups
Pros
  • Magnetic hold snaps the phone into place one-handed
  • Up to 15W wireless charging for MagSafe-compatible iPhones
  • Combines mount and charger, so no cable to plug in each trip
  • Very low price at $12.99
  • Compact black design that fits most vent setups
Cons
  • 3.5 out of 5 from 225 ratings suggests a mixed record
  • Magnet strength and grip vary with phone cases and vent types
  • 15W output depends on a compatible USB-C power adapter, which may not be included
  • Android phones without magnets need an added ring or case

Questions and answers

Does it charge at full 15W?
It supports up to 15W, but only with a compatible USB-C power adapter and a MagSafe-compatible iPhone. With a standard adapter or a thick case, expect slower charging.
Will it hold my iPhone with a case on?
It works best with MagSafe cases or a bare phone. Thick or non-magnetic cases weaken the grip and can cause the phone to slip.
Does it work with Android phones?
Only if the phone or case has a magnetic ring. Most Android phones need an added MagSafe-style ring or case to attach.
Is a power adapter included?
Check the box contents before buying. Many car mounts in this price range ship without a USB-C adapter, and the 15W rate needs one.
Is $12.99 a good price?
Yes. At $12.99 at Best Buy as of November 6, 2026, it is at the low end of its recent range, well below typical MagSafe mount prices.
How does it compare with Apple's MagSafe charger?
It costs far less and mounts in the car, but Apple's charger has stronger magnets and more consistent 15W charging. Choose this one for budget, Apple's for reliability.
Where is the Energizer ECA007 15W USB-C Magnetic Wireless Car Charger cheapest?
