About the Epiphone SG Tribute Plus Electric Guitar
The popular Epiphone Tribute series has been a gateway into the world of Epiphone guitars for countless new players. Now, the Tribute series is expanding with the release of the new Epiphone SG™ Tribute Plus. This affordable yet high-quality guitar is designed for beginner and intermediate-level players who want a quality instrument that won’t hold them back or hinder their learning progress.
The SG Tribute Plus features a classic Gibson SG-shaped body made from mahogany. It has the iconic beveled mahogany SG body with a flame maple veneer top that looks fantastic. The bolt-on mahogany neck has a fast and easy-playing 60s SlimTaper™ Rounded C profile that makes practice sessions and jamming a joy, along with a tapered heel joint for improved upper fret access. The headstock features the popular 60s Kalamazoo shape and is outfitted with quality die-cast tuning machines, while the bound laurel fretboard has 22 medium jumbo frets and pearloid trapezoid inlays.
The SG Tribute Plus is equipped with an Epiphone LockTone™ Tune-O-Matic bridge and LockTone Stop Bar tailpiece designed for easy adjustment of string height and intonation, both contributing to this model’s excellent sustain. It is powered by a pair of Epiphone humbucker™ pickups—an Epiphone 650R in the neck position and an Epiphone 700T in the bridge position—each furnished with powerful ceramic magnets for strong, full-bodied tone.
The Epiphone SG Tribute Plus elevates the Tribute series with even more performance and enhanced aesthetics while remaining accessible to players everywhere. It’s a great choice for your first electric guitar or as a step up from a lesser-quality instrument and will serve you well on your musical journey for years to come.
