Our take on the Epoxy Resin 2 Gallon Crystal Clear Resin Kit

A two-gallon kit of crystal-clear, self-leveling epoxy resin for tabletops, art coating, coasters and jewelry. It cures to a high-gloss finish and is marketed as non-toxic, BPA-free, food safe and highly resistant to yellowing. The best new price is $75.59 at Walmart as of November 3, 2026, the only store listing it new. That is the top of its recent range: it hit $69.99 on November 2, 2026, so the current price is about $5.60 above the recent low.

Pros
  • Two gallons covers large pours and cuts cost per ounce
  • Self-leveling formula spreads and flattens on its own
  • High-gloss, crystal-clear finish
  • Marketed as non-toxic, BPA-free and food safe
  • Claims high resistance to yellowing
Cons
  • Only one store lists it new, so price competition is thin
  • Current $75.59 is above the $69.99 low seen November 2
  • Aimed at experienced artists; beginners may waste a big batch
  • Food-safe and non-toxic claims rest on the maker's certification, not independent tests
  • Two gallons is far more than small jewelry projects need

Rated 4.7 out of 5 from 18 ratings, a small sample. Buyers generally report clear, glossy casts, but the volume is too low to judge long-term yellowing.

Pros
  • Clear, glossy cured finish

Cons
  • Bubbles still need torch or heat-gun work
  • Large kit is hard to use up before it ages

Questions and answers

Is $75.59 a good price for the 2-gallon kit?
It is the only new price listed and sits at the top of its recent range. The kit sold for $69.99 on November 2, 2026, so waiting for a dip toward $70 saves about $5.60.
How much area does 2 gallons cover?
Coverage depends on pour thickness. At a typical 1/8-inch tabletop pour, two gallons covers roughly 16 square feet; thinner coats cover more, thicker casts much less.
Is this resin really food safe?
The listing says food safe and non-toxic with a certified resin claim. Fully cured epoxy is generally considered inert, but check the maker's certification for direct food contact before using it on serving pieces.
Will it yellow in sunlight?
It is marketed as highly resistant to yellowing, which suits indoor art and tabletops. No epoxy is fully UV-proof, so keep outdoor pieces out of direct sun or add a UV topcoat.
What's in the kit?
A two-gallon kit normally pairs resin with hardener in the correct ratio, plus mixing instructions. Check the listing for the exact ratio and whether pumps or cups are included.
Is it good for beginners?
It is aimed at experienced artists. The self-leveling formula helps, but a two-gallon batch leaves little room for error, so practice on small coasters first.
Is the Epoxy Resin 2 Gallon Crystal Clear Resin Kit at its lowest price?
The lowest price we've seen is $69.99 at Walmart on November 2.
What do buyers say about the Epoxy Resin 2 Gallon Crystal Clear Resin Kit?
