Our take on the Ethos Ceramic Wax Pro

Ethos Ceramic Wax Pro is a 16 oz liquid ceramic-infused wax for painted and coated car surfaces. It is applied by hand or with an orbital polisher, left to haze, then buffed off, and it leaves a glossy, hydrophobic finish that sheds water. The kit includes plush microfiber towels for removal. At $24.95 at Ethos Handcrafted Car Care as of November 4, 2026, it sits at the low end of its recent price range, with two stores listing it new.

Best forDIY detailers who want ceramic-style water beading without a full coating jobOwners of daily drivers and weekend cars with painted or coated surfacesPeople who polish by hand or with a dual-action orbital polisherBuyers who want towels included in the box
Pros
  • Strong hydrophobic beading that helps water sheet off paint
  • Leaves a clear, glossy shine on paint and coated surfaces
  • Works by hand or with an orbital polisher
  • Hazes and buffs off cleanly with the included microfiber towels
  • 16 oz goes a long way across several applications
Cons
  • Liquid wax needs reapplication more often than a true ceramic coating
  • Must dry to a haze before buffing, which adds time
  • Can leave stubborn residue if applied too thick or in direct sun
  • Not a paint corrector; it hides little and fixes no swirls

Questions and answers

Is Ethos Ceramic Wax Pro worth it?
Yes for a wax. It gives ceramic-like water beading and gloss at a wax price, and at $24.95 as of November 4, 2026 it is cheaper than most spray coatings. Expect to reapply every few months rather than once a year.
How is it different from a ceramic coating?
It is a liquid wax with ceramic ingredients, not a curing coating. It is easier and safer to apply and needs no long cure, but it does not last as long or build the same hard layer.
How do I apply it without residue?
Work in shade on a cool panel, apply a thin even coat by hand or orbital, and let it haze fully before buffing with a clean microfiber towel. Thick coats are the usual cause of stubborn residue.
What is in the box?
The kit includes the 16 oz bottle of wax and clean, plush microfiber towels for removal. Kit sizes vary, so check which size you are buying.
When is it cheapest?
