Is the Even Realities G2 worth it?

It suits people who want quiet notifications, directions and translation without pulling out a phone. If you want a camera or full augmented reality, it is not the right product.

How is the G2 different from the first-generation Even Realities glasses?

The display is 75 percent larger and lenses are 30 percent thinner. The G2 also adds a brighter 1,200-nit display and a magnesium and titanium frame.

How long does the battery last?

Even Realities rates it at up to two days per charge. The charging case holds seven full charges, so a week away from a wall outlet is realistic.

Can I get the G2 with my prescription?

Yes. The G2 supports prescriptions from −12.00 to +12.00, which covers most near-sighted and far-sighted wearers.

What comes in the box?

Expect the glasses, the charging case and a charging cable. Check the listing for the exact bundle before ordering.

When is the best time to buy?

Smart glasses rarely get deep discounts, so watch the price history and buy when the quote sits near the low end of its recent range.

Our take on the Even Realities G2

The Even Realities G2 is a pair of smart glasses with a monocular heads-up display built into a magnesium and titanium frame. It weighs 36 grams, shows notifications, directions and translations in 35 languages, and runs up to two days per charge with a case that holds seven more. The display is 75 percent larger and 1,200 nits bright, and lenses are 30 percent thinner than the first generation. It is a niche product with limited price history, so compare the latest quote against the range before buying.
