Will it fit my attic opening?

It fits a rough opening of 22.5 by 54 inches. Measure the framed opening, not the trim, before ordering.

What ceiling heights does it cover?

It works with ceilings from 7 ft 8 in to 10 ft 3 in. Outside that range you need a different model or a custom cut.

Is it strong enough for a heavy adult?

The rating is 350 pounds, which covers most adults plus a load. Keep weight centered and use the handrail area as intended.

How does it compare with a wooden attic ladder?

The aluminum frame and gas strut resist warping and slam-shut wear better than an all-wood ladder. Wood ladders are usually cheaper but need more maintenance.

How hard is installation?

Plan on two people. The unit is bulky, and the opening must be framed square and trimmed to the stated dimensions before it drops in.

When is the best time to buy?

Attic ladder prices dip during fall and winter home-improvement sales. Check the price history to see whether the current price is near the low.

Our take on the Evermagin Attic Pull Down Ladder

The Evermagin is a folding aluminum attic ladder with pine side rails and a plywood base, sized for a 22.5" x 54" rough opening and ceilings from 7 ft 8 in to 10 ft 3 in. It carries a 350 lb load rating, uses a gas strut for controlled closing, and adds diagonal stabilizers, non-slip feet and 3-inch slip-resistant steps. It is built to ANSI 14.9 and aimed at homeowners replacing a worn wooden ladder or adding attic access. No current store price was provided, so check the price history before buying.
