Our take on the Ewbank Floor Cleaner/Scrubber/Polisher EP170

The Ewbank EP170 is a corded upright floor cleaner, scrubber and polisher aimed at hard floors like hardwood and tile. It combines scrubbing and buffing in one machine, which suits larger areas better than a mop and bucket. It is sold as a commercial-grade unit, so it is built for heavier use than most home polishers. At $119.99 at Zoro.com as of November 4, 2026, it sits at the low end of its recent price range across the 7 stores that list it new.

Questions and answers

Is the Ewbank EP170 worth it?
For large tile or sealed hardwood floors, yes. It scrubs and polishes faster than a mop for about $120. If you have small rooms or mostly carpet, a mop is cheaper and easier.
Can it be used on hardwood floors?
Yes, Ewbank lists hardwood and tile as suitable surfaces. Use it with minimal water and dry the floor promptly, since standing water can damage wood finishes.
Does it come with pads and brushes?
It ships with scrubbing and polishing pads for the base unit. Check the listing for exactly which pads are included, since bundles vary by store.
How does it compare with a spin mop?
The EP170 scrubs and buffs with motorized pads, which cleans grout and dull finishes better than a mop. A spin mop is lighter, quieter and easier to store.
Is it corded or cordless?
It is corded, so you need an outlet and will move the cord as you work. There is no battery to charge or replace.
When is the best time to buy it?
At $119.99 at Zoro.com as of November 4, 2026, it is already near the bottom of its recent range. Watch for seasonal sales at the other stores that list it.
Where is the Ewbank Floor Cleaner/Scrubber/Polisher EP170 cheapest?
