Is the Express Single Knitting Machine worth $155.74?

It depends on how much you will use a small circular knitter. At $155.74 at Walmart as of November 4, 2026, it costs more than many branded 22-needle machines, and only one store lists it new, so compare carefully before buying.

What can I actually make with a 22-needle, 10 to 15 cm machine?

Small circular pieces about 4 to 6 inches in diameter, such as socks, cuffs, mittens and small hats, plus flat panels 6 to 8 inches wide. It is not suited to sweaters or large blankets.

What yarn thickness does it take?

The maker recommends yarn in the 3.5 to 8 thickness range. Thinner yarns give a looser, finer fabric; thicker yarns fill the 22 needles faster and limit stitch definition.

Does it need batteries?

The listing notes one AAA battery is required, likely for a stitch or row counter. The knitting itself is done by hand crank, so the machine works without the battery.

The listing does not detail the contents beyond the machine itself. Expect the knitting machine body and crank; check with the seller for needles, yarn guide or instructions before ordering.

There is only one new listing, at $155.74 at Walmart as of November 4, 2026, so there is no price history to time a purchase against. Watch that listing for markdowns rather than waiting on competing stores.
