How long does the battery last on a charge?

The 1000mAh battery is sized for short motion-triggered bursts, and the light auto-offs after about 20 seconds in Night mode. Expect several weeks of typical hallway or closet use per charge, less if you run it at full brightness often.

Does it need wiring or an outlet?

No. It is fully wireless and recharges over USB-C, so you can mount it anywhere indoors within reach of a cable when it needs charging.

Can I change the color temperature?

Yes, but only on the RGB variants, which offer 3000K, 4200K and 6500K. The standard version does not list adjustable color temperature.

How far does the motion sensor reach?

It detects movement across a 120-degree field up to about 10 feet away, which suits hallways, closets and stair landings.

Can it be used outdoors?

No. It is rated for indoor use only, so keep it out of rain and direct weather.

Our take on the EZVALO Rechargeable Motion Sensor Puck

The EZVALO Motion Sensor Puck is a small rechargeable LED light that switches on when it detects movement within 120 degrees and about 10 feet, then shuts off after roughly 20 seconds in Night mode. It runs on a built-in 1000mAh battery charged over USB-C and is dimmable, with three color temperatures on the RGB versions. It is rated for indoor use only. The best new price is $22.99 at Amazon as of November 7, 2026, and only one store lists it new, so there is little price history to compare against.
