Questions and answers

Are Polychromos watercolor pencils?
No. They are oil-based and water-resistant, so they do not dissolve for wet blending. Use them dry or with solvent-based blending.
How do they compare with Prismacolor Premier?
Polychromos leads are harder and hold a finer point; Prismacolor wax leads are softer and lay down color faster. Polychromos suits detail and layering, Prismacolor suits bold coverage.
What comes in the 120 set?
120 assorted colored pencils in a wooden case with a carrying handle and suitcase-style closure.
What paper works best?
Smooth paper for fine detail and textured or sanded pastel paper for heavier layering. The leads also mark wood and fabric.
