Is the 3-piece setting worth it compared with the 4-piece?

Yes, if you already have mugs or want to choose your own. The 4-piece setting adds a mug; this one gives you the same three plates and bowl for less.

Can these pieces go in the oven?

Yes. The china is oven safe, microwave safe, freezer safe and dishwasher safe. Avoid sudden temperature changes, such as freezer to hot oven.

What are the exact sizes?

The dinner plate is 10 1/2 inches, the salad plate is 7 1/4 inches and the cereal bowl is 6 7/8 inches across and holds 19 oz.

Yes. Fiesta describes the pieces as fully vitrified lead-safe china with a color glaze.

When is the best time to buy?

Fiesta sets often drop during holiday and registry sales. At $25.00 at eBay as of November 4, 2026, the price is already at the low end for a new 3-piece setting.

Our take on the Fiesta 3-Piece Place Setting

The Fiesta 3-Piece Place Setting is a service for one: a 10 1/2-inch dinner plate, a 7 1/4-inch salad plate and a 6 7/8-inch cereal bowl that holds 19 oz, all in the Classic Rim shape. The fully vitrified china is lead-safe, chip-resistant and safe for the dishwasher, microwave, oven and freezer, and it is made in the USA. The set is newer to Fiesta than the 4- and 5-piece settings, and it lets you pick your own mug or skip drinkware. At $25.00 at eBay as of November 4, 2026, it is the best new price among 9 stores that carry it.

What reviewers say

Fiesta's Classic Rim pieces are widely liked for their weight, bright glazes and durability, and owners often report years of daily use without chipping. The main complaints are about weight and about glaze wear on darker colors.

Pros

Holds up to daily dishwasher and microwave use
Bright, consistent glaze colors
Solid feel and stable stacking

Cons

Heavy compared with thinner porcelain
Dark glazes can scratch or show cutlery marks
Bowls are smaller than some expect
