Our take on the Fingerprint Keyless Entry Door Lock Smart Deadbolt

A round, brushed-finish smart deadbolt that opens by fingerprint or smartphone app instead of a key. It weighs 1.4 lb and is listed for indoor use, so it suits an interior door or a sheltered entry rather than a door fully exposed to weather. At $39.99 at Walmart as of November 4, 2026, it sits at the low end of what fingerprint deadbolts cost; most name-brand models run $100 to $250. Only one store is listing it new, so there is no price competition to push the number lower.

Questions and answers

Is $39.99 a good price for this lock?
It is cheap for a fingerprint deadbolt, where most brands start near $100. But it is the only new listing at that price as of November 4, 2026, so there is no second store to compare against and no price history to show whether it has been lower.
Can I use it on a front door?
The listing says indoor use, which points to interior doors or a covered entry. A front door that gets rain or direct sun is a risk without a stated weather rating.
Does it work without the app?
Fingerprint unlock works on its own. The app is for managing prints and access, so check that the lock still opens if your phone is dead or Wi-Fi is down.
Will it fit my existing deadbolt holes?
It is a standard deadbolt with a round shape, so it should fit a typical 2-1/8 inch bore. Measure your door thickness and backset before ordering, since the listing does not state a range.
What is in the box?
The listing shows one lock per pack. It does not detail the included screws, strike plate or batteries, so confirm before buying.
How long do the batteries last?
No battery life is stated. Fingerprint locks usually run months on AA cells, so plan on replacing them and keeping a backup way in.
Where is the Fingerprint Keyless Entry Door Lock Smart Deadbolt cheapest?
At Walmart, for $39.99, as of our latest check.
