Is the FINNALA chaise worth it?

It is a good value if you want a large leather-look sectional with a chaise and the option to reconfigure later. If you want real leather or a compact sofa, look elsewhere.

Can the chaise go on either side?

Yes. The open-end chaise section can be assembled on the left or right, so you can match your room layout.

Is Grann real leather?

No. Grann is a coated fabric with a leather look. It is easier to clean than fabric but will not age like genuine leather.

It is a full-size sectional with a chaise, so it needs a large room. Measure your space and the path to the room before ordering, since the boxes are long and heavy.

Are the covers washable?

The covers are removable. Check the specific care label for the Grann version, and note that replacement covers are sold separately through IKEA.

IKEA discounts this line during seasonal sales and family offers. Watch the price history on this page rather than buying at full price if you are not in a hurry.

Our take on the FINNALA Sofa, with chaise/Grann/Bomstad black

The FINNALA is IKEA's modular upholstered sofa, sold here as a chaise configuration with Grann leather-look upholstery in Bomstad black. It uses a pillow-back design with a 22-inch seat depth and 19-inch seat height, and the open-end chaise can be placed left or right at assembly. It is a large, heavy piece built around IKEA's sectional frames, so measure your room and doorways before ordering.
