Is the Firmstrong Urban Man worth it?

For flat beach, boardwalk and neighborhood riding at $289 at firmstrong.com as of November 4, 2026, it is a low-cost way to get a complete cruiser. If you face hills or want to ride fast, a geared bike is a better fit.

What height rider does it fit?

Firmstrong sizes the Urban Man for adult men about 5 ft to 6 ft tall, using a 19-inch extended frame. Shorter or taller riders should check standover clearance before buying.

Does it have gears or hand brakes?

No. It is a single-speed bike with only a pedal-back coaster brake, so there are no shifters, derailleurs or brake levers to maintain.

About 33 lb. That is normal for a steel cruiser but heavy if you carry it up stairs or load it on a rack.

What terrain is it built for?

Flat pavement, beach paths and boardwalks. The rigid steel fork and single gear make it a poor choice for hills, trails or long commutes.
