Our take on the FK Irons Spektra Xion Rotary Tattoo Machine

The FK Irons Spektra Xion is a pen-style rotary tattoo machine built from aircraft-grade aluminum and driven by FK Irons' MotorBolt system. Its standout feature is a tool-free adjustable stroke: swap between the included 3.2mm and 3.7mm stroke wheels to suit lining, shading or color packing. It weighs 5.36 ounces fully assembled and uses a standard RCA connection, so it works with most power supplies and all needle types. The best new price is $624.99 at RelyAid Tattoo Supply as of November 4, 2026, with two stores listing it new.

Questions and answers

Is the Spektra Xion worth it over a fixed-stroke machine?
If you tattoo multiple styles, the two included stroke wheels let one machine handle lining and shading. Artists who only line or only shade may not use that flexibility and could save money on a fixed-stroke model.
What is the difference between the 3.2mm and 3.7mm stroke?
The 3.2mm wheel gives a softer, more forgiving hit that suits shading and color blending. The 3.7mm wheel delivers more punch for lining and bolder work. Both wheels come in the box.
Does it come with a power supply or needles?
No. The box includes the machine and the 3.2mm and 3.7mm stroke wheels. You supply your own RCA power supply and needles.
Will it work with my existing power supply?
It uses a standard RCA connection and FK Irons says it is compatible with most power supplies on the market. Check that your supply's RCA cable fits and can deliver enough current for the 6W MotorBolt motor.
How heavy is it compared to other pen machines?
It weighs 5.36 ounces fully assembled, which is on the lighter end for a pen-style rotary. The tapered grip runs from 32mm to 25mm.
When is the best time to buy it?
The best new price was $624.99 at RelyAid Tattoo Supply as of November 4, 2026, with two stores listing it new. Compare both listings and watch for supply-house sales around convention season.
Where can I buy the FK Irons Spektra Xion Rotary Tattoo Machine?
