Our take on the FMS 1/10 RC Truck Ford Monster Truck with Licensed Body

The FMS 1/10 Ford Monster Truck is a ready-to-run electric RC truck with a licensed Ford body and a 2WD drivetrain. It is built on a crawler-style chassis, so it handles dirt, rocks and slow technical lines better than it does high-speed bashing. At $139.99 at Fair RC as of November 4, 2026, it sits at the low end of its recent price range across the three stores that carry it new.

Pros
  • Ready to run out of the box, no assembly or extra electronics needed
  • Licensed Ford monster truck body with scale detail
  • Crawler-capable chassis for slow technical terrain
  • 1/10 scale is large enough to handle rough ground
  • Several colorways, including First Blood and High Roller liveries
Cons
  • 2WD only, so traction is limited on loose climbs and wet grass
  • Not a speed basher; gearing and motor suit crawling, not jumps
  • Battery and charger are often not included, so check the box contents
  • Plastic drivetrain parts wear under hard use

Questions and answers

Is the FMS 1/10 Ford Monster Truck worth it?
At $139.99 at Fair RC as of November 4, 2026, it is a cheap way into 1/10 scale crawling with a licensed body. If you want speed or 4WD, spend more on a different truck.
Does it come with a battery and charger?
It is sold ready to run, but battery and charger inclusion varies by listing. Confirm the box contents with the store before you buy.
Is 2WD enough for crawling?
It works on mild dirt and gravel, but 2WD loses grip on steep or loose climbs. A 4WD crawler will outperform it on hard lines.
How fast is it?
It is geared for crawling, not speed runs. Expect walking-pace to jogging-pace speeds rather than bash-truck acceleration.
What is the difference between the color versions?
Black, Blue, First Blood and High Roller are body liveries of the same truck. The chassis and drivetrain are the same across them.
When is it cheapest?
The current $139.99 at Fair RC as of November 4, 2026 is already near the low end of its recent range. Watch for holiday sales for further drops.
