Is the FootJoy Pro/SLX Carbon worth it at $89.95?

At $89.95 at eBay as of November 4, 2026, it is a good buy. That is well under typical full retail for a waterproof, carbon-plated spikeless shoe.

How does it compare with the Pro/SL?

The Carbon adds a carbon-fiber plate for more stability and a slightly firmer ride. The Pro/SL is softer and cheaper, but less torsionally stiff.

Is it really waterproof?

Yes. FootJoy uses a waterproof leather upper and backs it with a two-year waterproof warranty.

What widths are available?

It comes in narrow, medium and extra wide. Wide-footed golfers should size up in width rather than length.

Can I wear it off the course?

Yes. The spikeless rubber outsole is fine for the clubhouse, the car and casual wear.

Prices drop most at end of season and when a new model replaces it. The $89.95 eBay price as of November 4, 2026 is already near clearance levels.

Our take on the FootJoy Pro/SLX Carbon Spikeless Golf Shoes

The FootJoy Pro/SLX Carbon is a spikeless men's golf shoe built on a carbon-fiber plate in the outsole, which FootJoy says adds stability through the swing. It uses a waterproof leather upper and a molded, spikeless rubber outsole that works on the course and off it. The best new price is $89.95 at eBay as of November 4, 2026, well below what this model typically sells for at full retail, so it is a strong value at that number.
