Is $339 a good price for the Forno Scalo?

Yes. As of November 7, 2026, $339 at Lowe's is the best new price among 9 stores and sits at the low end of its recent range. Waiting is unlikely to save much unless a holiday sale appears.

Does it vent outside or recirculate?

Both. The venting is convertible, so it can be ducted to the outside or set to recirculate through a filter, depending on your kitchen.

Will it fit my existing 30-inch opening?

It is 29.88 inches wide, 16.42 inches tall and 16.9 inches deep, sized for a standard 30-inch over-the-range cutout. Check the height clearance under your upper cabinets before buying.

Is 1000 watts enough?

It handles reheating, defrosting and popcorn fine. It is slower than 1100–1200 watt models for large frozen items or cooking raw food from scratch.

What is sensor cooking on this model?

A humidity sensor detects when food is done and adjusts the cook time. It works best for popcorn, baked potatoes, vegetables and reheated leftovers.

Does it come in other finishes?

The Scalo is listed in a smudge-resistant white finish. Shoppers wanting stainless or black should check Forno's other over-the-range models.
