Our take on the Franklin Sports Volleyball Net Set

The Franklin Sports Volleyball Net Set is a portable backyard and beach volleyball kit with a 20-foot-wide net and an 8-foot top height. The best new price is $79.08 at McCoy's Building Supply as of November 3, 2026, and only one store currently lists it new, so there is no meaningful recent price range to compare against.

Questions and answers

Is this net regulation height?
The top height is 8 feet, which matches standard men's indoor net height. Women's and recreational nets are usually set lower, so adjust the poles if you want that.
How many people can play on it?
The 20-foot width supports 2-on-2 beach play or 4-on-4 backyard games comfortably. Larger groups will want a wider net.
Does it work on sand?
Yes, it is designed for beach and backyard use. Sand anchors need firm, deep footing, and loose dry sand can let poles lean.
Is $79.08 a good price?
Only one store lists it new at that price as of November 3, 2026, so there is no recent range to compare. Check whether a carrying bag and ball are included before deciding.
What comes in the box?
Franklin sets of this type typically include the net, poles, guy lines and ground stakes. Confirm ball and bag inclusion with the listing before buying.
Is it worth it over a cheaper set?
If you play often on grass or sand, the wider 20-foot net is the main reason to pay more. For occasional use, a smaller set does the same job for less.
Where is the Franklin Sports Volleyball Net Set cheapest?
At McCoy's Building Supply, for $79.08, as of our latest check.
