Is this fridge worth it over a standard-depth model?

If your kitchen has a 32-inch opening and you want the fridge to sit near flush with the counters, yes. You pay for the counter-depth body with less interior space: 17.6 cu. ft. versus roughly 20 to 22 cu. ft. in a similar-width standard-depth French door.

Will it fit a 32-inch opening?

The unit is 31.3 inches wide, so it fits a 32-inch opening with little clearance. Check door swing and handle depth too, since the bar handles push past the counter line.

Does it need a water line?

No. It has an ice maker but no water dispenser, so it makes ice from a filled reservoir or factory setup rather than a plumbed line. Confirm the ice maker setup with the store before buying.

How much does it cost to run?

It is Energy Star certified at 543 kWh per year. At a typical US rate of about 16 cents per kWh, that is roughly $85 to $90 a year.

The best new price is $1,393.00 at ABC Warehouse as of November 5, 2026. Appliance prices usually dip around Black Friday and major holiday sales, so compare across the 6 stores that list it.
