Our take on the Gaomon Queen Size Upholstered Platform Bed Frame with Adjustable Height Vertical Channel Tufted Headboard

The Gaomon Queen Upholstered Platform Bed Frame is a slatted platform bed with a vertical channel-tufted headboard whose height can be adjusted. Because it is a platform with slats, it supports a mattress directly without a box spring. It is sold as a frame only, so the mattress is bought separately. No current price was provided, so check the live comparison for where it sits against its recent range.

Best forShoppers who want an upholstered headboard without a box springBedrooms where headboard height needs to suit different mattress thicknessesRenters and guest rooms that need a simple, soft-sided frameBuyers pairing it with a memory foam or hybrid queen mattress

  • Upholstered frame and headboard soften the bed's look and feel
  • Queen size fits standard queen mattresses
Cons
  • Frame only: mattress and bedding cost extra

Questions and answers

Do I need a box spring with this bed?
No. The frame has slats, so a queen mattress sits directly on them. A box spring would only raise the mattress height.
How does the adjustable headboard work?
The headboard mounts at more than one height so you can match it to your mattress thickness. Set it before tightening the frame hardware.
What mattress size fits?
It takes a standard queen mattress, about 60 by 80 inches. The frame is sold without a mattress.
Is the frame sturdy enough for heavy sleepers?
Slatted platform frames like this generally handle two average adults, but check the listed weight capacity before buying if you need a high limit.
When is the best time to buy it?
Furniture prices often dip around major sales events and long weekends. Set a price alert and compare against its recent range rather than buying on impulse.
What is in the box?
You get the frame, slats, headboard and assembly hardware. The mattress and bedding are not included.
