Does it need a box spring?

No. The metal frame has slats, so a queen mattress sits directly on them. A box spring would only add height.

How much storage do the four drawers give?

Four drawers run along the base of the frame. They suit bedding, clothes and shoes, but the depth is limited by the frame height, so tall items will not fit.

How is the LED headboard powered?

The lighted headboard runs on electricity, so the bed needs to sit near an outlet or you need an extension cord along the frame.

Is $388.95 a good price?

Only one store lists it new at $388.95 as of November 7, 2026, so there is no second price to compare. Comparable queen upholstered storage beds with lighting often cost more, so the bundle price is reasonable.

What size mattress fits?

It takes a standard queen mattress, about 60 by 80 inches. Check the frame's inner dimensions before buying an oversized pillow-top.

Our take on the Gaomon Queen Upholstered LED Bed Frame with 4 Storage Drawers

The Gaomon Queen is an upholstered platform bed with a metal frame, a lighted headboard and four storage drawers built into the base. It bundles three things shoppers usually buy separately: a headboard, under-bed storage and LED lighting. The best new price is $388.95 at Macy's as of November 7, 2026, and only one store lists it new, so there is no competing price to compare against.
