Is the Fenix 7X worth it over the standard Fenix 7?

The 7X adds a larger 1.4-inch screen, longer battery life and a built-in flashlight. Choose it if you want maximum battery and a bigger display; the standard Fenix 7 is lighter and cheaper.

How long does the battery last?

Garmin rates it at up to 28 days in smartwatch mode and around 89 hours in GPS mode, with solar charging extending both. Heavy GPS and music use cut that sharply.

Does it work with iPhone and Android?

Yes. It pairs with both through the Garmin Connect app for notifications, syncing and music setup.

Can I store music on it?

Yes. It holds several hundred songs and supports offline playlists from streaming services, so you can listen without a phone.

Is it waterproof for swimming?

Yes. It is rated 10 ATM, which covers swimming and showering but not diving.

Prices drop around major sales and when a new Fenix generation launches. The current $525 at eBay is already well below its usual range.

Our take on the Garmin Fenix 7X Smartwatch

The Garmin Fenix 7X is a rugged multisport GPS watch with a 1.4-inch display, a black silicone band and a black case. It tracks GPS routes, steps and blood oxygen, and it stores and plays music on the wrist. Its latest best new price is $525 at eBay as of November 6, 2026, with two stores listing it new. That is well below the $700 launch price and the roughly $600 to $800 it has sold for in recent months, so it is a strong price for a current-generation Fenix.
