Is the Fenix 8 Pro worth it over the standard Fenix 8?

The Pro adds LTE cellular and voice features the standard Fenix 8 lacks. If you want calls and messages without your phone, the Pro is the one to get; otherwise the standard model covers the same training and mapping tools.

Does it need a cellular plan?

Yes. It ships unlocked with no plan, so you need a carrier plan that supports the watch to use LTE calling and messaging. Bluetooth and GPS work without one.

How long does the battery last?

Garmin rates it up to 360 hours in low-power mode. Heavy GPS and cellular use will drain it much faster, so expect days rather than weeks with constant LTE.

Yes. It is water-resistant to 330 ft, which covers swimming and most water sports. Skip high-pressure jets and diving beyond that depth.

Does it work with iPhone and Android?

Yes, it pairs with both iOS and Android over Bluetooth. Some messaging replies are more limited on iOS than on Android.

The watch, a charging/data cable and documentation. No cellular plan or extra band is included.
