Questions and answers

Is the Garvee 8-inch table saw worth it?

At $85.68 at Walmart as of November 4, 2026, it is a cheap entry into table saws for light DIY cuts. If you regularly cut hardwood or thick stock, a more powerful 10-inch saw is the better buy.

How does it compare with a 10-inch jobsite saw?

It is lighter and cheaper, but the 8-inch blade limits cut depth and the 6.7-amp motor has less power for dense wood. A 10-inch saw cuts deeper and handles thicker material.

What can I cut with an 8-inch blade?

Plan on thin stock, trim, plywood and small boards. Depth of cut is limited by the smaller blade, so thick dimensional lumber will need multiple passes or a bigger saw.

Does it need a special outlet?

No. It runs on 110 V and draws 6.7 amps, so a standard household outlet works. Use a circuit that is not shared with other heavy loads.

What is in the box?

Expect the saw, blade, miter gauge, rip fence and blade guard. Check the listing for the exact included accessories before ordering.

When is it cheapest?

Only one store lists it new, so the price is unlikely to move much. Watch for Walmart rollbacks and seasonal tool sales.

Where is the Garvee 8-inch Portable Jobsite Table Saw cheapest?
