Will it fit a Stratocaster or Les Paul?

Yes. The 19.5 in body length, 14.4 in lower bout width and 3.1 in body depth fit standard solid-body electrics, including Strat and Les Paul shapes.

Is it as protective as a hard case?

Not quite, but close for most gigs. It has 25 mm padding, ultra-thick sidewalls, a body block shock absorber and an adjustable neck cradle, which covers the knocks a hard case would.

Does it come with a rain cover?

Yes. A protective rain cover is included, and the nylon exterior is water-resistant with it on.

How much does it weigh?

6.97 lbs. That is heavier than a basic gig bag but much lighter than a typical hard case.

Is $187.95 a good price?

It is the only new price listed as of November 6, 2026, at Sweetwater, so there is no cheaper new option to compare against. Check used listings if you want to spend less.

What fits in the pockets?

The bag has external pockets for cables, strings, picks and a tuner. The listed specs do not give pocket dimensions, so measure bulky items before relying on them.
