Is $42.29 a good price for this rug?

It is the only new price found, $42.29 at Amazon as of November 5, 2026. With one seller there is no cheaper listing to compare against, so judge it against what similar 6'x9' washable rugs cost.

Can it really go in a washing machine?

Yes, GENIMO lists it as machine washable. A 6'x9' rug needs a large-capacity or commercial machine, so check your washer's drum size first.

Does the waterproof layer make it feel plasticky?

The waterproof layer sits under the velvet surface, so the top should still feel soft. Expect a firmer, less plush feel than a thick shag rug.

Will it stay put on hardwood or tile?

It has a non-slip backing, so it should grip hard floors without a separate pad. On thick carpet, a pad still helps.

What sizes does the Aurora Santa Sleigh design come in?

This listing is the 6'x9' size in red. GENIMO sells other holiday rugs in different sizes, so check the specific listing for the size you want.
