Our take on the Glassic EV 78H Series Frameless Hinged Swing Shower Door 48-49in W x 78in H

The Glassic EV 78H is a frameless hinged swing shower door sized for a 48 to 49 inch wide opening and 78 inches tall, with clear tempered-look glass and no metal frame around the panels. The frameless build gives an open, custom-shower look and makes the glass easy to squeegee. It is a large, heavy panel, so the wall and hinge side need solid blocking and a careful install. As of November 7, 2026 the best new price is $674.99 at The Home Depot, the only store listing it new.

Questions and answers

Is $674.99 a good price for this door?
It is the only new price we have, $674.99 at The Home Depot as of November 7, 2026. Frameless glass doors in this size often run $600 to $1,000, so it sits in the lower-middle of that band.
What opening size does it fit?
It is made for a 48 to 49 inch wide opening and stands 78 inches tall. Measure the finished opening, not the old door, before ordering.
Does it come with the hinges and handle?
Frameless swing doors of this type normally ship with hinges, handle and seals. Confirm the box contents with the store before you buy.
Can I install it myself?
It is possible for a confident DIYer, but the glass is heavy and the hinges need solid blocking and precise leveling. Many buyers hire a pro for frameless doors this size.
Is the glass tempered and safe?
Clear tempered glass is standard for shower doors in the US. Ask the store to confirm the tempering and thickness for this model.
When is it cheapest?
Shower doors tend to dip during bathroom remodel sales and holiday promotions. With one new listing, watch that store's price history rather than waiting for a competing store.
Where is the Glassic EV 78H Series Frameless Hinged Swing Shower Door 48-49in W x 78in H cheapest?
